A quick follow up on fish oil and Omega 3 oil for cats:
 I got the fish oil from the vet.  It is 600 mg fish oil and also has some vitamin A, D3 and E for cats and small dogs. The brand is AllerG-3. 60 capsules which would be two month’s supply for one cat was $ 11.  The vet also had larger dose for larger  dogs. I just slice it open and drip it on the cat’s food.
